Rowan Johnston – Managing Director appointed 21 September 2016
Qualifications - BSc (Mining Engineering), first class mine managers certificate
Experience - Mining Engineer and experienced executive director, most recently being the Acting CEO and Executive Director of Operations for ASX listed Mutiny Gold Limited prior to the takeover by Doray Minerals Limited, previously Executive Director of Integra Mining.
Jonathan West – Non-Executive Director appointed 21 September 2016
Qualifications - BSc(Hons) MSc PhD
Experience - Dr Jonathan West has worked across a variety of resource and energy development and management areas, in both the private and public sector for over 40 years, both in Australia and overseas. He has extensive senior executive management experience with a particular focus on strategic planning, policy development, resource development and management, and corporate and organisational change management.
Jimmy Lee – Non-Executive Director appointed 20 June 2016
Qualifications - BSc (Min Tech);ÂÂ First Class Mine Managers Certificate of Competency;ÂÂ Quarry Managers Certificate of Competency
Experience - Mr Lee is a mining engineer with more than 30 years of industry experience and is a member of AusIMM. He has successfully worked with a number of major Australian mining companies and has held senior positions with Hamersley Iron Ltd, Dominion Mining Ltd, Christmas Island Phosphates, North Ltd and Carey Mining Ltd.
Mr Lee provides mining and corporate advisory services to the mining industry and was formerly a founding director of Terrain Minerals Limited. In addition, he has a successful track record with contract negotiations and company investment strategies.
Sam Randazzo – Non-Executive Director appointed 24 October 2016
Qualifications: Chartered Accountant
Mr Randazzo has over 20 years of international experience in public company management (including Chairman, Chief Operating Officer, Company Secretary and Chief Financial Officer roles). He has exposure to ASX, TSX and AIM stock markets and successful capital raisings in Australia, USA, Canada, UK, Europe and the Middle East. Mr Randazzo’s operational management experience is in Australia, South America, USA, Canada and the UK. He has also been involved in project evaluation and feasibility studies, and project identification, acquisitions and disposals.
Amanda Sparks – Company Secretary
Qualifications: B.Bus, Chartered Accountant, F.Fin
Ms Sparks has over 28 years of resources related financial experience, both with explorers and producers. Ms Sparks has extensive experience in financial management, corporate governance and compliance for listed companies.Â Amanda is Company Secretary for several listed companies.
Bradley Toms – Exploration Manager
Mr Toms is a geologist with 24 years of exploration experience which includes 15 years in the North Eastern Goldfields of Western Australia where he has held senior exploration positions on projects in close proximity to Excelsior Gold’s Kalgoorlie North Gold Project. Mr Toms brings further intimate local geological knowledge and large exploration program management skills to the Company’s developing gold project located 45 kilometres north of Kalgoorlie.
Mr Toms commenced his career as an underground geologist with Kalgoorlie Lake View Pty Ltd in 1988 and progressed to Project Geologist with Kalgoorlie Consolidated Gold Mines in 1989 where he was involved with extensive resource definition drilling programs and the initial resource estimations for the Kalgoorlie Super Pit.
Of particular relevance to Excelsior Gold’s Project is Mr Tom’s experience in senior exploration and management roles Centaur Mining and Exploration Limited between 1994 and 2000 where he managed successful exploration drilling programs at the Mount Pleasant and Ora Banda gold operations which led to significant resource increases and the development of new mining opportunities. The Mount Pleasant and Ora Banda areas are located on the greenstone belts immediately to the west of the Bardoc Tectonic Zone which hosts the Kalgoorlie North Gold Project.
