Botswana Locker Project Area
The Botswana Locker prospect is located approximately 100 metres north of the Bulletin South open pit and is located within the Black Flag structural corridor.
A shallow (~30m deep) open pit was previously mined by Paddington Operations in the late 1990s.
The gold mineralisation is associated with a quartz stock work within porphyry and historical drilling has demonstrated spectacular gold grades within the vein system.
Reverse circulation drilling at the northern end of the old pit to test previous historical intercepts intersected strong alteration but returned minor gold intercepts beneath the interpreted high grade plunge target. The northern most hole (KNC120104) along strike and outside of the old pit returned
- 11m @ 2.90g/t Au from 23m (KNC12004) including 1m @ 11.1g/t Au from 24m and 2m @ 7.80/t Au from 32m
Drill site locations beneath the historical pit were not optimal and the zone is poorly drill tested along strike and at depth. Further drilling is proposed.
