The Jackorite prospect is located approximately 3.1 kilometres south west of the Excelsior deposit and has a current JORC Indicated and Inferred Resources of:
117,900 tonnes @ 2.50g/t Au for 9,500 ounces at 0.6g/t Au cut-off
Within the Jackorite prospect, the gold mineralisation which has been established over 200 metres of strike is associated with a sigmoidal quartz filled shear that strikes north/south with a moderate to steep westerly dip. Very high grade gold appears to be associated with “flattening” of the shear and a NW structure. The gold mineralisation remains open to the north and down plunge.
The gold mineralisation at the Jackorite prospect outcrops to the surface with significant near surface results from recent drilling including:
No drilling deeper than 80 metres vertical depth has been historically undertaken on the prospect and further drilling is planned to identify extensions of the mineralisation at depth and along strike.
Jackorite Resoource Summary
The recent shallow drill results confirm the open pit potential of the Jackorite prospect and highlight its potentially to generate significant cash flow from a rapid, shallow open pit mining campaign.
